For the Sixth year in a row, the Department of Homeland Security has earned top scores on the Small Business Administration’s Annual Small Business Procurement Scorecard. The DHS Small Business Program continues to be one of the Department’s flagship procurement initiatives. I am proud of our track record, and this year we did even better with an “A+,” the highest possible score. The Department is the only agency to receive a grade of “A” six years in a row, and is the largest Federal agency to ever receive a score of “A+.”
This recognition is a reflection of the Department’s strong commitment to providing opportunities for all types of small businesses to compete and win contracts in support of our vital missions. I commend our small business partners and the men and women of this Department for their work to open new doors of opportunity by actively engaging small vendors throughout the country.
