Master Trainer Program Application Form

The Master Trainer Program certifies Federal, State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (F/SLTT) partners in the instruction of Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) techniques and best practices.

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for the MTP:

Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications
  • Current employee of a F/SLTT agency**
     
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a field related to public safety
     
  • Participation endorsed by supervisor
  • Supervisory employee at a F/SLTT agency**
     
  • Professional or academic experience in targeted violence prevention or BTAM
     
  • Previous Instructor/Trainer Experience

Qualified applicants must submit this form, along with a resume, to MTPApplications@hq.dhs.gov within the application window to be considered for the Master Trainer Program. A fully completed application includes:

  1. A completed and signed Master Trainer Program Application Form
  2. A current resume
