In this episode of the Joint Symposium for Working K9s (JSWK9) Podcast, host Nathan Hall sits down with  Texas Tech University Ph.D. candidate Sarah Kane, Auburn University’s Dr. Lucia Lazarowski, and canine instructors Bart Rogers and Jennifer Davis-Miller, to discuss their recent project, a study jointly conducted by Auburn University and Texas Tech University on the training of detection canines, funded by the Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Directorate. Over the course of a near 44-minute conversation, the team discusses the results of the study, which explored the effects of detection canine training methods, including the ins and outs of various methods and their efficiency/effectiveness, and answers some common industry questions. This study was funded by the Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Directorate, Detection Canine Program Office under contract #70RSAT22CB0000002. This podcast represents the position of the researchers and not necessarily that of DHS. (DHS Audio by Science & Technology Directorate/Released)
