Northridge Earthquake - FEMA aids those who were displaced
Northridge Earthquake, Calif., January 17, 1994 -- Many people were displaced by the earthquake, from small children to elderly people. FEMA provided assistance to all. Approximately 114,000 residential and commercial structures were damaged and 72 deaths were attributed to the earthquake. Damage costs were estimated at $25 billion.
