The USCG Headquarters construction operations continue with 4,000 cubic yards (CY) placed for a total of 125,000 CY placed to date. Brick work is proceeding on Building 1 with some areas completed. Roofing installation started for Building 1. Window and curtain wall installation started in Building 2. Vertical construction continues and permanent power/lighting construction started in Garages 1 and 2. Vertical construction for the central utility plant is underway. GSA received DHS Operations Centers (DOC) A Block tenant fit out proposals on August 3 and the Source Selection Evaluation Board convened on August 4. DOC A Block structure is underway. On the Phase 1B Renovation of 6 historic buildings for Adaptive Reuse, on Bldg 31 (Credit union/Coast Guard Historian) the contractor completed replacement of 2nd story, rotted, wood window lintels with steel replacements; demolished 2nd story floor slab; and started/completed capping existing East & West tunnels. Building 33/34 (Dining Hall/Kitchen) - Started excavating, forming/pouring new basement column footings and installing new columns. Building 49 (Fitness Center) - GSA issued Notice to Proceed for the cold dark shell of the existing building.","DHS MGMT - The GSA Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) HQ Consolidation Outfitting Procurement and S1 Efficiency Initiative is on schedule for FY2011 fourth quarter award.
