The USCG Headquarters construction continues with Brick work proceeding on Building 1 with west facades of Buildings A and B nearing completion. Loading dock base slab was installed. Roofing installation is underway on Building 1. Window and curtain wall, prefabricated mechanical assembly, and drywall installation started in Building 2. Vertical construction continues and permanent power/lighting construction started in Garages 1 and 2. Site work (tree removal) has begun for major sewer outfall pipe lining and rehabilitation. On the Phase 1B Renovation of 6 historic buildings for Adaptive Reuse, Building 31 (Credit Union/Coast Guard Historian) – The contractor continued casting the concrete foundation jacket (waterproofing) wall and is approximately 33% complete. Buildings 33/34 (Dining Hall/Kitchen) – demolished existing Dining Hall concrete floor slab and started installation of new floor decking in preparation for new concrete floor slab. Continued excavation, forming/pouring footings and replacing existing Dining Hall floor columns. Started demolition of existing slate roof, completed removal of existing historical windows, and shipped windows to the restoration contractor’s workshop. Building 49 (Fitness Center) – Mobilized workforce in building.","DHS MGMT - The GSA Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) HQ Consolidation Outfitting Procurement and S1 Efficiency Initiative is on schedule for FY2011 fourth quarter award. On the DHS Operations Centers (DOC) Block A interior fit-out procurement, the Source Selection Evaluation Board will complete their reviews and recommendations to the Contracting Officer by the end of August. The procurement remains on track for fourth quarter award by GSA Public Buildings Service National Capital Region."
