Once again we express our appreciation and enormous respect for the successful security effort by the United States Secret Service and the New York Police Department at last week’s United Nations General Assembly. 

Within the Department of Homeland Security, the Secret Service was supported by hundreds of personnel from ICE Homeland Security Investigations, TSA, the U.S. Coast Guard and others.  Coordinating the security for 130 world leaders is no easy task.  We should never take for granted the amount of preparation, professionalism and hard work that goes in to such a massive and successful security operation. 

Congratulations to all involved.
