The Research and Development Partnerships Group is responsible for initiatives that identify, evaluate and commercialize technology for the specific goal of rapidly developing and deploying products and services that meet the specific operational requirements of DHS components and other stakeholders such as the first responder community. The Constituent Guide to Doing Business contains information about unsolicited proposals. The Private Sector Resource Catalog contains contact information for many offices within DHS that may be of interest. For example, S&T's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program is designed to assist small businesses with developing new research and development (R&D) projects. The SBIR funds fewer topics than the LRBAA, but it compensates by providing many more details on specific R&D projects. The Product Realization Guide is designed as a resource to assist in project execution relative to technology development. This systematic approach facilitates efficient and effective product development by reducing the risk of unidentified errors and product development shortfalls. It is intended that this guide be incorporated as an easy-to-use resource to ensure due diligence throughout the product development life cycle.

This comprehensive database can be searched to identify a variety of solicitations and requests for information on topics of need from many government agencies.
