Secretary Johnson to Participate in Media Availability Following Active-Shooter Drill

WASHINGTON – On Feb. 6, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson will travel to U.S. Coast Guard Base Miami Beach, where he will participate in a media availability with local law enforcement officials following an active-shooter training exercise within the south Florida region.

Credentialed media planning to attend must RSVP to U.S. Coast Guard 7th District Public Affairs office at 305-415-6683 by 4:00 PM EST, Friday, February 5. All media will be required to show government-issued photo identification and affiliate issued press credentials prior to being granted access to the base. On the day of the event media must be in place no later than 12:30 PM EST.
