NEW ORLEANS — Special agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) are seeking the public’s help to identify possible victims in an ongoing child sexual exploitation investigation involving a New Orleans man who worked as a schoolteacher.
On Aug. 15, HSI New Orleans and the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Aaron Johnson, 36, of New Orleans, on sex trafficking of a minor charges after an investigation revealed after he coerced an underage minor to travel from Mississippi to Louisiana for the purpose of engaging in commercial sex. Johnson has been employed as a teacher in the New Orleans area since 2023.
Due to his online activity and employment, authorities with HSI are seeking information that may help identify potential victims Johnson may have engaged or exploited.

As HSI has a strong victim-based approach to investigations, any victims will be supported through the Victim Assistance Program with critical resources.
