Wall of Honor
Each name on this Wall represents a story of dedication and selflessness, reminding us of the profound impact these heroes have had on HSI and the nation. All shared a common purpose: to protect our communities, uphold the law and defend our nation’s security.
The Wall of Honor stands as a solemn testament to the brave employees of our agency who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
We honor them. We remember them. We carry their legacy forward.
HSI Executive Associate Director Katrina W. Berger honors these brave individuals, recognizing their lasting contributions and devoted sense of duty:
“HSI emerged as a critical force to protect our nation from new and evolving threats. These fallen heroes carried out this mission with unmatched courage, paying the ultimate price in defense of our nation. Their sacrifice is a powerful reminder of why HSI exists, and we pledge to honor them by continuing to safeguard the nation with the same unwavering resolve.”
Honoring Our Fallen Heroes
Honoring Our Legacy Agency Fallen Heroes
As the Department of Homeland Security emerged in the aftermath of 9/11, it carried forward the proud traditions of the U.S. Customs Service and the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service. These legacy agencies would eventually evolve into the Department’s principal investigative arm known as Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). Among the names on our Wall of Honor are those who served in those legacy agencies, whose courage and sacrifice have shaped HSI’s mission.
Their stories are woven into the very fabric of HSI’s history and identity. We honor their memory not only by recalling their courage but by continuing the important work they so nobly carried out. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten, and their legacy will endure as we uphold the mission they held dear.
