Serve the Public
In response to President Biden’s Executive Order, Transforming Federal Customer Experience and Service Delivery to Rebuild Trust in Government, which directs Government leaders to account for the experiences of the public in seeking Government services, the Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies are hiring mission-driven technologists to improve a multitude of services that are applicable to every stage of people’s lives.
Every person in this country accesses benefits from services and systems DHS manages. The Department has well over one billion interactions with the public every year, including with some of our country’s most vulnerable populations (asylum seekers, refugees, disaster survivors) who cannot afford to deal with slow, outdated processes and systems when they try to access services.
If you join DHS, you’ll work to ensure that DHS policy, technology, and design decisions prioritize equitable access to key services. Your commitment to human-centered, people-first design in digital services will positively impact people’s lives, and will help us create a Department with efficient, secure services and technologies that everyone can access.
None of this is possible without passionate, diverse, and driven talent from every community in America.
