Chief Information Officer
Antoine McCord serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In this role, he leads the Department's enterprise-wide IT strategy, cybersecurity operations, and digital modernization efforts. With over 18 years of experience in cyber operations and national security, Mr. McCord is committed to enhancing cyber resilience and operational effectiveness to support core DHS missions and activities.
While serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. McCord specialized in cyber and intelligence operations, gaining hands-on experience in threat detection and technology integration. Afterward, he joined the U.S. Intelligence Community, where he led cyber operations against advanced threats, and he served as a trusted advisor on national security to safeguard our Nation further.
Mr. McCord also contributed to the private sector, working in cybersecurity and defense technology to protect critical assets and promote collaboration between public and private sectors for infrastructure security. As CIO, McCord emphasizes mission-driven leadership, focusing on operations to neutralize threats against the Department. His experience, vision, and leadership are crucial to advancing the Department's cybersecurity and IT initiatives.
