The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) seeks to bring in a Loaned Executive to advise the Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) Homeland Identities, Targeting, and Exploitation Center (HITEC) on the development and integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies to be applied to intelligence and analysis programs within DHS I&A. The effort will convene representatives from I&A targeting and identities analysts, systems and data engineers, software and web development experts, as well as the potential for interagency coordination across the Intelligence Community. The goal of this position is to gain insight into, leverage, and adopt the most cutting-edge AI/ML technologies being used in the private sector, such as novel approaches to sentiment analysis and decision tree learning, to process large amounts of data and draw conclusions about the data’s intelligence and operational value; and to collaborate within a classified environment to enable an in-depth understanding of how AI/ML can be engineered and integrated in classified, cloud-based environments, in a manner that allows HITEC to more effectively and efficiently counter national security threat actors.
