Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003

December 6, 2012. The Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) submitted to the Federal Register a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on standards to prevent, detect, and respond to sexual abuse and assault in confinement facilities, in accordance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003 (PREA), 42 U.S.C. 15601.
