Dr. Robert ‘Rob’ Hickey is a program manager in the Cyber Security Division (CSD) of the Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency at DHS S&T. He specializes in security for aviation systems. Hickey is on assignment to CSD from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) where he is a staff officer.
At ODNI, he has held several positions including chief of staff and acting deputy director of the National Intelligence University. Hickey served 28 years in the active duty U.S. Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard. In 1986, he joined American Airlines as a pilot and retired in 2008.
Hickey holds a doctorate in management from Phoenix University, a master’s in political science and international affairs from Oklahoma State University, and is a 1978 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy. He is an adjunct professor at ECPI University.
