The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman (CIS Ombudsman) invites stakeholders to participate in a webinar to learn more about services available for noncitizen Veterans on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET.
During this engagement, CIS Ombudsman Phyllis Coven will be joined by representatives from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide a general overview of services that each agency provides to Veterans of the U.S. Uniformed Services, in the U.S. and abroad. This event is geared specifically towards Veterans Service Organizations.
The CIS Ombudsman’s webinar will serve as an information sharing and gathering session. Participants may submit written questions and comments about this, or other issues related to naturalization and immigration during the webinar. The CIS Ombudsman may share submitted questions, without attribution, to DHS, USCIS, CBP, ICE and VA for awareness. If appropriate, these questions may be used by the various offices to assist in the development of outreach materials.
