DHS Implementation of Executive Order (E.O.) on Public Trust-Public Safety

On May 25, 2022, President Biden issued an Executive Order on Advancing Effective, Accountable Policing and Criminal Justice Practices to Enhance Public Trust and Public Safety (E.O. 14074). The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) fully supports the E.O.’s objectives to promote accountability, increase transparency, and ensure equal treatment and respect for the dignity of all persons with respect to federal law enforcement.  DHS is working across the Homeland Security Enterprise to swiftly and effectively implement the E.O.'s cross-cutting mandates.
