For a limited time, the Office of Personnel Management will allow you to increase or decrease your annual election amount for each flexible spending (FSAFEDS) account in which you are enrolled. The limited time period to update your election will end on August 29, 2020.
This increased FSAFEDS flexibility is provided due to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, which may have led to unanticipated changes in the need for medical and dependent care. All FSAFEDS participants are eligible to make changes to existing elections.
This one-time change is not retroactive. You cannot decrease your FSAFEDS election below the amount that has already been withheld from your salary or the amount that was already reimbursed to you for eligible expenses this year. Allotments already made to your FSA account(s) cannot be refunded.
To update your existing elections, visit www.FSAFEDS.com or call 1- 877-FSAFEDS (372-3337). FSAFEDS representatives are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. (Eastern Time) to provide additional information and answer your questions.
