It is so easy to get sucked up into the drama of everything going on around us, that sometimes we forget to stand still and look up. Sometimes we make our own drama…I know, who doesn’t like a little bit of adrenaline-rushing drama to add a bit of spark to the routine of the day? And at other times we are mired in the chaos, tension, gossip and negative energy…just listen to the news and you can’t help but feel a little anxious.
But, here’s the thing: we get to decide how much of this drama we let into our lives, and we get to choose to look down, with our head in our hands, or to look up with the wonderment of a child—where we see a soft field to play in rather than weeds that need to be mowed; where we hear the sound of laughter, rather than an interruption of our thoughts; where we smell roses, and feel the positive energy that emits from a smile.
As Snoopy said, “Keep looking up...That's the secret of life....” And, seriously, who can possibly argue with a dog!
