Labor Day is a holiday on which we recognize and celebrate the contributions and achievements of the American worker. What you contribute and achieve every day for the American people is remarkable. Thank you for dedicating your talent and energy in service to our Nation.
I know that while some of you will be able to enjoy this holiday weekend with family and loved ones, others of you will be continuing to work on the front lines or in the office, carrying our mission forward. In recognition of what all of you do – we fulfill our mission around the clock every day of the week – I am granting one additional day off to DHS employees for use before the end of the calendar year. The Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer will follow up with additional details.
