As we head into Fall, it’s a really great time to release all of the pressure and expectations weighing you down. Fall is when the trees prepare themselves for the long cold winter by letting go of the weight of their leaves so they can rest over Winter, providing them with an opportunity to rejuvenate in order to grow and flourish in the Spring.
Sometimes like the trees around us, you just have to let go of your “leaves.” Let go of those who are negative in your life, let go of the shame and guilt of the past, and let go of the anxiety of the future. It’s ok to surrender to the unknown and let things unfold the way they are intended. When you hold on so tightly to things that are not serving you well, it rarely—if ever—turns out well. When you let go, you leave space for new friends to enter your life, new discoveries of what brings you joy, and you begin to relax in the moment, rather than worrying about controlling that over which you have no control anyhow.
Here’s to moving forward…you’ve got this!
