Military Spouse Appreciation Day

Release Date: May 6, 2021

We are grateful for the service of our veterans at DHS every day, but today we want to show special appreciation to the DHS employees who, as spouses and partners, support our veterans and active duty service members.

President Ronald Reagan created Military Spouse Appreciation Day in 1984 to recognize the crucial role that military spouses serve the lives of their families and our Nation. DHS is grateful for the loving support, sacrifice, commitment, and dedication of all the spouses of our Nation’s service members. Please join the Department in expressing sincere gratitude to our military spouse employees.
