Warm weather is here and it’s time to spring into action. It’s a great time to get outside and volunteer in your community. There are many ways to help others and be outside to enjoy the spring weather.
- Clean up. Work with your neighborhood’s community groups to spend the day cleaning local trails, waterways, or parks.
- Help animals. There are several ways to volunteer to help animals in your community. You can help at a local animal shelter or host a drive to collect new and used pet supplies.
- Start gardening. Get involved with a local community farm.
- Support a park near you. arks around the county need help and rely on volunteers. The National Park Service has a wide range of safe, outdoor volunteer activities, ranging from conducting tours to maintaining green areas or facilities.
