Dear DHS Employees,
On the first day of his Presidency, President Trump issued an Executive Order on “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government,” declaring that the United States will only recognize two sexes, male and female, that are binary, biological, and not changeable. The President has ordered that all federal agencies enforce laws governing sex-based rights, protections, opportunities, and accommodations to protect men and women as biologically distinct sexes in accordance with the Executive Order.
In accordance with President Trump’s Executive Order and the Office of Personnel Management’s corresponding guidance, DHS will fully comply with the order to end all agency programs that use taxpayer money to promote or reflect gender ideology.
