Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act. Causing someone under the age of 18 to engage in a commercial sex act, regardless of using force, fraud, or coercion is human trafficking under U.S. law.

Continued Presence (CP) is a temporary immigration status provided to individuals identified by law enforcement as victims of a “severe form of trafficking in persons” who may be potential witnesses. This three-part video describes CP, who is eligible, and how to make a request. The video can be used for training purposes and task force meetings.
The Blue Lightning Initiative (BLI), a joint campaign of the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and United States Department of Transportation (DOT), announced today the release of a new online training program to combat human trafficking in the aviation industry. The updated training educates aviation employees on how to recognize the indicators of human trafficking and how to appropriately report what they see. The training now includes specialized content for both large and small airport settings.
