As a FY21 and FY23 Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention (TVTP) Grant Program recipient, the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) is using its funding to deploy a co-responder model to address local threats.

The State of Hawai’i Office of Homeland Security (HIOHS) released its 2024 Targeted Violence Prevention (TVP) Strategy Implementation Plan in February. The plan is an effort to preemptively address mass shootings and other violent acts by ensuring the state has the resources needed to handle unexpected incidents.
The TVTP Grant Program, administered by the DHS Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), is the sole U.S. federal government grant program dedicated to helping local communities develop and strengthen their capabilities in combatting targeted violence and terrorism.
On January 24, 2024, in Washington, D.C., students from 18 universities and 24 high schools came together to compete in the final chapter of the Fall 2023 Invent2Prevent (I2P) program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3).
