DHS S&T developed a comprehensive and publicly available literature review and ontology dashboard to organize TVTP literature. This new capability streamlines the ability for end users and practitioners to access peer-reviewed and methodologically sound research products to develop an evidence base in the field of terrorism prevention for what works, what doesn't, and why.
START’s Global Terrorism Database (GTD) contains information on more than 125,000 domestic and international terrorist attacks that occurred between 1970 and 2013. Collectively, these attacks have resulted in more than 266,000 deaths and more than 354,000 injuries. This research highlight focuses on the terrorist attacks that occurred in the United States between 1970 and 2013.
Counterterrorism and Threat Prevention Policy (CTTP) supports the Department’s mission by countering terrorism and preventing a wide-array of threats to the Homeland to include hostile nation states and emerging threats.
