Vision 60 Q-UGV Technology Report

DHS S&T and NUSTL hosted Urban OpEx 2022, a weeklong Operational Experimentation (OpEx) where first responders evaluated new and emerging technology solutions in realistic, urban settings throughout the New York Metropolitan area.

st CAD-to-CAD Interoperability

Critical data is not available to all organizations (including fire, law enforcement, and EMS) responding to an emergency because the Computer-Aided-Dispatch systems that support each agency are unable to electronically exchange information. The Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) recognizes the national need for interoperability and is providing leadership to develop a viable solution. The overarching objective is to achieve a resilient public safety CAD-to-CAD ecosystem that is efficient, interoperable, and supports multi-discipline response to regional, multistate, and national events.

ST - First Responder FY 18-19 Capability Gaps

 The capability gaps or Statements of Objectives (SOO) developed as a result of these meetings help determine how S&T engages with business, industry, innovation and academia partners, and ultimately how S&T provides first responders the tools they need to protect communities and stay safe while performing their duties.
