The Computer Linked Application Information Management System 4 (CLAIMS 4) is an electronic case management system used to track and process naturalization applications. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) updated this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) to discuss the centralization of naturalization forms after disposition of the Reengineered Naturalization Application Casework System (RNACS).
The Secret Service uses the Field Support System (FSS) for ongoing investigations into criminal activity. FSS is a combination of three programs which detect criminal activity and collect evidence in ongoing investigative cases ranging from financial crimes, cyber-crimes, and potential threats toward individuals and events under Secret Service protection. This Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) was conducted because the FSS collects personally identifiable information (PII).
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is re-publishing the previously published Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) for the Integrated Digitization Document Management Program (IDDMP). IDDMP is the process of digitizing paper-based case files (A-Files and Receipt Files) and storing them in the Enterprise Document Management System (EDMS). EDMS enables the A-File to be shared more efficiently within DHS and with external agencies. USCIS is updating and reissuing this PIA to discuss in greater detail the IDDMP process in which information is ingested into EDMS.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) employs several types of aircraft, including manned helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) for border surveillance and law enforcement purposes. These aircraft may be equipped with video, radar, and sensor technologies to assist CBP in patrolling the border, conducting surveillance for law enforcement investigations or tactical operations, or gathering data to assist in disaster relief and emergency response.
The Secure Flight program screens aviation passengers and certain non-travelers before they access airport sterile areas or board aircraft. TSA updated this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) to reflect operational changes: (1) the addition of Known Traveler populations to TSA Pre✓™; (2) the use of Secure Flight to screen passengers on certain government operated flights; and (3) the use of intelligence-driven flight by flight risk assessments to identify passengers and non-traveling individuals who require either enhanced screening or are eligible for expedited screening. These changes are anticipated to result in the identification of more passengers who are eligible for expedited screening in airports with TSA Pre✓™ lanes. Unless otherwise noted, the information provided in previously published PIAs remains in effect. Individuals are encouraged to read all program PIAs to have an understanding of TSA’s privacy assessment of the Secure Flight program.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) conducts security threat assessments on individuals who apply to TSA for enrollment into the TSA Pre✓™ Application Program. Program participants are eligible to receive expedited screening at participating airport security checkpoints. TSA conducted this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) because personally identifiable information (PII) will be collected for the conduct of the security threat assessment.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Child Exploitation Tracking System (ICE-CETS), which is owned and operated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), is a centralized information repository that assists law enforcement in conducting child exploitation investigations.
