  • Final Notice Activity in a 100-Year Floodplain - Antilles, Puerto Rico

    This is to give notice that DHS ICE as guided by Executive Order 13690 Establishing a Federal Flood Risk Management Standard and a Process for Further Soliciting and Considering Stakeholder Input and Executive Order 11988, Floodplain Management, as amended, has conducted an evaluation to determine the potential affect that its activity in the floodplain will have on the human environment.

  • Amphibious eXtreme Terrain Vehicle for Ice Rescue Fact Sheet

    The U.S. Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) are partnering to develop a new ice rescue vehicle prototype. Once completed, the final vehicle will be durable; capable of operating in extreme cold, on land, on ice, and in water; and be able to easily transition between each type of terrain. The vehicle will accommodate up to three rescue team members and three passengers and support rescue and lifesaving equipment. 

  • Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Phase 2 Demonstration

    The DHS Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) will host a Phase 2 Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Demonstration on June 27, 2023, at the Smart Community Testbed (VIPC) in Stafford County, Virginia.

The event will be a two-day, free virtual event experience using Microsoft Teams.   • Mission-Adaptive, Modular Law Enforcement Helmet Design Fact Sheet

    The primary objective of this technology effort is the development of a multi-purpose law enforcement helmet that provides concussive and ballistic protection, is mission-adaptive, lightweight, and may be worn for an extended period of time.
