In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection prepared this Final Programmatic Environmental Assessment to address the potential effects of establishing Low Energy X-Ray Inspection Systems at various U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operational areas throughout the United States. The purpose of the Proposed Action is to non-intrusively inspect vehicles at CBP operational areas for the presence of contraband, including weapons of mass destruction, explosives, and illicit drugs.
WHTI requires all travelers, U.S. citizens and foreign nationals alike, to present a passport or other acceptable document to identity and citizenship.
