DHS/S&T/PIA-034 Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program

The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Science & Technology Directorate (S&T) is leading DHS efforts and coordinating across the Federal Government testing and evaluating technologies used to detect, identify, and monitor small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) that may pose a potential threat to covered facilities and assets and other missions authorized to the Department by law. These protective technologies are referred to as Counter-UAS (C-UAS).

DHS/S&T/PIA-033 Coastal Surveillance System (CSS)

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) has launched the Coastal Surveillance System (CSS) Pilot program. CSS is a technology demonstration project that establishes a framework (data standards and interfaces) for authorized sharing of data between DHS Components and partners. CSS allows authorized personnel to access information collected by other maritime law enforcement, safety, and security programs.

DHS/ALL/PIA-070 DHS Suspension and Debarment Case Management System (SDCMS)

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Suspension and Debarment Case Management System (SDCMS) is a secure, web-based workflow management system maintained by the Office of the Under Secretary for Management (USM) in support of the DHS suspension and debarment process. The purpose of SDCMS is to provide an automated mechanism for managing and reporting on all suspension and debarment activities from receipt of referral through the expiration date of the suspension or debarment period.

DHS/ALL/PIA-069 DHS Surveys, Interviews, and Focus Groups

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its Components periodically solicit voluntary feedback from its employees, contractors, external stakeholders, and the general public through the use of surveys, interviews, and focus groups (hereinafter referred to as customer research) to improve DHS services and operations. Individuals who provide information during customer research do so voluntarily with the understanding that their responses will be kept confidential.

DHS/ALL/PIA-068 Insider Threat Reporting Mobile Platform

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Insider Threat Program (ITP) was established as a department-wide effort to manage insider threat matters within DHS. In January 2017, the Secretary of Homeland Security expanded the DHS ITP beyond the protection of classified systems and information to include all threats to the Department posed by individuals who have or had authorized access to DHS facilities, information, equipment, networks, or systems. The DHS ITP is submitting this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) for the Department Headquarters (HQ) pilot and initial operational capability of the LiveSafe Platform. The LiveSafe Platform is a mobile application that will allow DHS mobile phone holders to use their DHS-issued mobile phone to report tips to the DHS ITP. The enterprise platform enables two-way, real-time interactions via location tagged text1 and phone communications, as well as a scalable mass notification service. All tips go to a dashboard that is reviewed by the ITP for determination of further action. The application requires user personally identifiable information (PII) to establish an account and maintains communications that are made through the program.
