CP3 Works with Texas to Build State Strategy

In recent years, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has recognized the urgent need to strengthen targeted violence and terrorism prevention (TVTP) efforts at a statewide level. To address this, Texas DPS sought the help of the DHS Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3) to design a comprehensive behavioral threat assessment, intervention, and prevention program strategy.

In mid-July, the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office and Partnership and Engagement (OPE) hosted 150 youth leaders from WorldStrides and Atlanta University Center Consortium, Inc. (AUCC) at DHS Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Alleged Transnational Human Smuggler Indicted and Sanctioned in the United States and Arrested in Mexico

An indictment was unsealed containing criminal charges against the alleged leader of a human smuggling organization responsible for unlawfully bringing thousands of migrants into the United States. Along with the organization, the defendant, who was arrested in Mexico at the request of the United States, has also been designated for financial sanctions by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
