On Monday, October 12, Secretary Napolitano appeared on ABC’s The View and the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, where she discussed the vaccine for H1N1 and the Color-coded Threat Level System.
The secretary commented:
"This is a bad flu, and it's a very safe vaccine, so under any analysis, you
should go ahead and get the vaccine."
The secretary went on to say that the government knows that the H1N1 vaccine is safe because it is based entirely on the seasonal flu vaccine. She also said that there would be enough vaccine for everyone, but that children should be vaccinated before adults.
