The Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3) is partnering with Wood County, Ohio in the establishment of a county-wide, multidisciplinary Behavioral Intervention Program (BIP). It is undergoing three independent evaluations to help develop capacity and understanding of best practices in behavioral threat assessment and management (BTAM) processes.
Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention grantee Northern Virginia Regional Intelligence Center (NVRIC) received the Fusion Center of the Year award from the National Fusion Center Association.
CP3 TVTP Grant Program recipient One World Strong used its funding to create the One World Online Resilience Center (OWORC), which serves as a one-stop shop for local terrorism prevention and victim services. However, One World Strong founder Dave Fortier never anticipated getting into this line of work.
The Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships is focused on preventing acts of targeted violence, including hate crimes and terrorism directed at members of the LGBTQI+ community. Since fiscal year 2023 to date, CP3 has participated in approximately 50 engagements that bolster the LGTBQI+ community’s goals for a safer, more inclusive community.
Six finalist teams will compete for $27,000 to fund their projects to address targeted violence, terrorism, and hate crimes in their local communities at the Invent2Prevent (I2P) Final Presentation and Competition Event on June 26.
Grantees provide close-out reports at the end of their respective grant periods. These reports provide an opportunity for recipients to describe their key outcomes, accomplishments, challenges, and lessons learned during implementation. Additionally, each year a subset of Grant Programs is selected for external evaluation.
The Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3) connect targeted violence and terrorism prevention (TVTP) providers, curate TVTP research and best practices, and aid states and communities in building strategies and programs.
Invent2Prevent (I2P) is an experiential learning program for high school and college students to design and implement creative solutions to prevent targeted violence, hate, or terrorism in their communities.
The Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3) presents "Prevention Forum" webinars to showcase how targeted violence and terrorism are preventable by highlighting prevention successes and best practices. Our goal is to empower individuals and communities by enhancing their awareness of targeted violence and terrorism prevention (TVTP) and enhancing their multidisciplinary prevention capacities.
