Grantee Spotlight: PERIL
The Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3) supports students in their efforts to develop innovative strategies to combat violent extremism. With the help of CP3's TVTP Grant Program, the Polarization & Extremism Research & Innovation Lab (PERIL) at American University launched the Violent Extremism Education and Resilience (VEER) program, an initiative to provide communities with the necessary resources to develop prevention and resilience programs.

I2P Teams Secure Violence Prevention Grants
Invent2Prevent (I2P), sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3), empowers high school and university students to design and implement initiatives that increase the safety and resilience of their local communities. The program acknowledges that youth have a critical and unique outlook on how to address targeted violence and terrorism.

In mid-July, the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office and Partnership and Engagement (OPE) hosted 150 youth leaders from WorldStrides and Atlanta University Center Consortium, Inc. (AUCC) at DHS Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
