On March 8, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson will travel to Selma, Ala. to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of “Bloody Sunday,” the Selma-to-Montgomery March, and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. While in Selma, Secretary Johnson will attend a Sunday morning service at Brown Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church and participate in a commemorative march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge.
