Public Awareness & Training
The National Threat Evaluation and Reporting (NTER) Program Office educates partners and the public on recognizing and reporting the early warning signs of terrorism and targeted violence—expanding awareness of best practices, emerging trends, and practical tools and approaches through a series of online training modules.
Online Trainings
These online trainings are designed to provide knowledge of threatening or potentially concerning behaviors and where to report them, providing an opportunity for intervention to prevent acts of terrorism and targeted violence, awareness of Suspicious Activity Reporting processes, and sector-specific considerations for terrorism prevention, while protecting individuals’ privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties.
In-Person Trainings
The NTER Master Trainer Program empowers Federal, State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial partners who achieve Master Trainer Certification to train their local communities and empower homeland partners to help mitigate threats and aid in preventing acts of targeted violence.
