DHS/CBP/PIA-038 Cornerstone

CBP created the Cornerstone information management system to automate and manage the background investigation (BI) process for CBP employees, contractors, and applicants. Cornerstone facilitates the BI process by retrieving, compiling, and distributing information between several information systems during the BI process. CBP is conducting this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) because Cornerstone collects and maintains personally identifiable information (PII) about employees, applicants, contractors, and members of the public.
