The CBP One™ mobile application allows certain undocumented individuals to submit biographic and biometric information to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in advance of their arrival in the United States, and to schedule a time to present themselves at a port of entry (POE) for processing. CBP is conducting this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) update to provide transparency regarding changes to the process as a result of the termination of Title 42, including a change in the way in which undocumented individuals schedule their arrival at a U.S. port of entry. CBP is republishing this Privacy Impact Assessment update in September 2023, to update the scheduling process. Additionally, as part of its efforts to manage migration with Mexico, the Mexican National Institute of Migration will now be provided with a mechanism to validate that an individual they may encounter has a CBP One™ appointment. In response to this request, CBP created the CBP One™ Appointment Validation Tool. (July 2024).
