The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Office of Response and Recovery (ORR), Individual Assistance (IA) Division provides FEMA-administered Disaster Case Management pursuant to Section 426 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, 42 U.S.C. § 5189d (Stafford Act). Through FEMA-administered Disaster Case Management (DCM), FEMA supplements existing services provided by state and local organizations following a disaster to adequately meet the disaster-caused unmet needs of survivors. FEMA is publishing this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) to cover the collection, use, maintenance, retrieval, and dissemination of personally identifiable information (PII) of individuals who participate in FEMA-administered Disaster Case Management. This Privacy Impact Assessment is intended to consider the privacy risks and applicable mitigation strategies associated with FEMA-administered Disaster Case Management. June 2022
