DHS/FEMA/PIA-059 Individual Assistance (IA) Systems

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Office of Response and Recovery (ORR), Individual Assistance (IA) Division manages FEMA’s Individual Assistance programs. The Individual Assistance programs rely on a portfolio of information technology (IT) systems and multiple applications to provide disaster recovery assistance, such as food and shelter, to individuals under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (Stafford Act), as amended, following a presidentially declared disaster. This Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) focuses on the information technology systems and supporting subsystems used by the Individual Assistance programs. The Individual and Households Program is covered in a separate, forthcoming Privacy Impact Assessment. August 2024.
