CRCL conducted an investigation into conditions of detention for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainees at the Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas. CRCL's onsite investigation occurred September 8-11, 2020 and was in response to allegations received regarding civil rights and civil liberties violations of general conditions of detention, inadequate medical care of detainees, and environmental health and safety concerns at the facility.
