  • myUSCIS

    USCIS launched myUSCIS, an online platform that provides customers additional digital services to interact with USCIS. The purpose of myUSCIS is to offer online customers a wider range of USCIS services. USCIS is implementing myUSCIS features in a phased approach. This initial Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and the attached appendices discuss and evaluate the privacy risks and mitigations associated with the collection, use, and maintenance of personally identifiable information (PII) in myUSCIS and its digital services. USCIS will update the appendices of the PIA as subsequent digital services and functionalities are added to myUSCIS

  • DHS/USCIS/PIA-068 Refugee Case Processing and Security Vetting

    The Refugee, Asylum, and International Operations (RAIO), Refugee Affairs Division of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) adjudicates applications for refugee resettlement. The Refugee Affairs Division historically used the following information systems in support of its adjudication efforts: Department of State’s (DOS) Worldwide Refugee Admissions Processing System (WRAPS); designated Refugee Affairs Division sites on the Enterprise Collaboration Network (ECN); Refugee Affairs Division Case Manager (RAD Case Manager); Case and Activity Management for International Operations (CAMINO); and R-TRACK. The Refugee Affairs Division is seeking to retire the aforementioned USCIS systems and consolidate the functionalities into RAD Global, operating in a cloud-based environment, to serve as the primary case management system for the administration of refugee cases. USCIS is publishing an update to this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) to describe the launch of RAD Global to support refugee case processing.

    The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Office of Information Technology (OIT) offers technical support to USCIS employees, contractors, and non-USCIS personnel who have access to USCIS systems for official business. USCIS ServiceNow serves as the incident management system for service requests. USCIS is conducting this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) to evaluate the privacy risks and mitigations associated with the collection, use, and maintenance of personally identifiable information (PII) provided by individuals seeking USCIS Service Desk support.

  • Executive Actions

    November 21, 2014. The President asked Secretary Johnson and Attorney General Eric Holder to undertake a rigorous and inclusive review to inform recommendations on reforming our broken immigration system through executive action. This review sought the advice and input from the men and women charged with implementing the policies, as well as the ideas of a broad range of stakeholders and Members of Congress from both sides of the aisle. Our assessment identified the following ten areas where we, within the confines of the law, could take action to increase border security, focus enforcement resources, and ensure accountability in our immigration system.
