The DHS COP Program provides strategic-level situational awareness of incidents and events of interest to the Homeland Security Enterprise. The DHS COP collects, shares, and displays multi-dimensional information to facilitate collaborative planning and support prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery missions.
The COP is available for use by federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial communities – including remote users – via the DHS Geospatial Information Infrastructure.
DHS National Operations Center (NOC) and Dashboards
The DHS National Operations Center (NOC) operates 24/7/365 as the primary national-level hub for information fusion and sharing, situational awareness, and executive communications.
DHS NOC staff enter data into a centralized incident management system (DHS OPS Portal). The data is replicated to an ArcGIS enterprise platform, where it can be fused with external data feeds and visualized in real time for comprehensive situational awareness.
DHS COP dashboards provide strategic situational awareness and facilitate decision support before, during, and after an incident or event of national significance, including:
- Natural disasters
- Public safety events
- Transportation incidents
- General incidents
