  • Cybersecurity Advisors

    Cybersecurity Advisors (CSAs) offer Cybersecurity assistance to critical infrastructure owners and operators and SLTT officials. They introduce organizations to various CISA Cybersecurity products and services, along with other public and private resources, and act as liaisons to CISA cyber programs. They can provide cyber preparedness assessments and protective resources, working group support, leadership, partnership in public-private development, and coordination and support in times of cyber threat, disruption, or attack.

  • Protective Security Advisors

    Protective Security Advisors are trained subject matter experts in critical infrastructure protection and vulnerability mitigation. They facilitate local field activities in coordination with other DHS offices and federal agencies. They also advise and assist state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) officials and critical infrastructure owners and operators, and provide coordination and support in times of threat, disruption, or attack.

  • ICE Community Relations Officers

    The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Office of Partnership and Engagement (OPE) through a cadre of 25 Community Relations Officers coordinates the agency’s outreach efforts with critical stakeholders nationwide, including state, local, tribal, territorial (SLTT) governments, SLTT elected officials, SLTT law enforcement, the private sector, faith-based organizations and colleges and universities, ensuring a unified approach to external engagement. They serve as liaisons between the agency and communities throughout the country. OPE/VESL assists victims of crime who reach out seeking information or victims' services.

    To support ICEs mission the Office of Partnership and Engagement has a cadre of 25 community relations officers (CROs) in field offices across the United States and Puerto Rico. These CROs formalize education and information sharing efforts as well as strengthening partnerships with state and local law enforcement agencies, community organizations, local governments, civic leaders, and the public at large.

  • Regional Prevention Coordinators

    Based in communities across the United States, RPCs increase awareness of targeted violence and violence prevention; provide resources, training, and technical assistance; advise on prevention programs and strategies; and improve information sharing between partners related to targeted violence and terrorism prevention (TVTP).

  • Fusion Centers

    State and major urban area fusion centers are owned and operated by state and local entities, and serve as primary focal points for the receipt, analysis, gathering, and sharing of threat-related information among federal, SLTTC, and campus partners. Fusion centers are uniquely situated to empower law enforcement and other front-line personnel to lawfully gather and share threat-related information, including through the Nationwide Suspicious Activity Reporting Initiative.

  • Deployed Intelligence Officers

    The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) deploys Intelligence Officers to support state, local, tribal, territorial, and private sector partners in advancing the homeland security mission. Intelligence officers are embedded in recognized state and major urban area fusion centers to advance the sharing of threat related information among federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and private sector partners.

  • DHS Prevention Resource Finder

    The Prevention Resource Finder provides tools to help people prepare for and prevent acts of targeted violence like mass shootings, school and campus shootings, workplace violence, and hate crimes. Resources include community support; grant funding opportunities; information-sharing platforms; evidence-based research; bullying, depression, domestic violence, and mental health support; gun safety best practices; and training opportunities for communities to reduce the risk of targeted violence, including hate-based targeted violence.
