  • Swatting Awareness for Law Enforcement

With the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Federal Protective Service, Major County Sheriffs of America, and many of our state and local law enforcement partners, OSLLE developed a series of swatting awareness videos for law enforcement. Swatting is a malicious act where individuals make false emergency calls to police or other emergency services, falsely reporting a severe, ongoing crisis at a specific location. This is increasingly impacting emergency services and helplines with the goal of provoking a significant law enforcement response. This video series provides awareness around this critical issue and strategies and resources to address it. The first video is currently available for law enforcement through OSLLE, and additional videos in the series will be available upon completion. If law enforcement is interested, please email OSLLE@hq.dhs.gov
