DHS adopts HCaTS best-in-class contract vehicle
DHS has formally adopted the Human Capital and Training Solutions (HCaTS) government-wide best-in-class contract vehicle into its strategic sourcing and category management portfolio. The HCaTS contract vehicle will enable DHS to obtain customizable and complex human capital management and training solutions across three key service areas: training and development, human capital strategy and organizational performance improvement. HCaTS will give DHS components access to contractors – both small and large businesses – with significant human capital and training expertise.

EAGLE II Determination
Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) Soraya Correa announced today that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will follow a new strategy in how it obtains information technology (IT) services. DHS will not be pursuing a re-competition of Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading-Edge Solutions (EAGLE) II. Rather, the Department will implement the EAGLE Next Generation (Next Gen) program that offers a robust array of options to the DHS IT community.

DHS Statement Regarding Safety and Enforcement During Hurricane Michael
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) are concerned about the potential impact of Hurricane Michael to the East Coast of the United States, where Florida and Alabama are under states of emergency. Our highest priority remains the preservation of life and safety. In consideration of these circumstances, there will be no immigration enforcement initiatives associated with evacuations or sheltering related to Michael, except in the event of a serious public safety threat.
