September 20, 2005. For airspace waivers, through aircraft operators, TSA collects and retains personal information that is used to conduct a security threat assessment on the flight crewmembers and passengers who will be onboard the aircraft while it is operating in restricted airspace. The collection of information will differ slightly depending on the type of waiver/authorization requested.
